| Photographing Your Horses |
 |
I have shot literally hundreds of photos of horses over the
years. Good photography can make a huge difference in the
effectiveness of marketing your horses.
I had shot a nice shot of a Tovero Paint weanling for a website.
Based on viewing that photo online, a man packed up his 3
kids, drove over 130 miles and bought the weanling on the spot.
He also fell in love with one of their other horses and ended up
purchasing two.
Distorted photos can cause more problems than they solve.
They can even make your horse appear to have structural faults
they don't even have.

| Tips for Good Photos |
 |
· Digital cameras are great for still shots.
· I always use a 35mm camera for action shots. Unless you
have a professional quality digital camera, you can't shoot fast
enough to catch the action with a digital camera.
If you are using film, buy it in bulk. Don't be afraid to go through
several rolls of film. The pros shoot many rolls of film to get that
one great shot.
·To help avoid distortion on a full body shot, stand on the same
level as the horse and crouch down so that the center of your
camera hits the middle of the shoulder.
· Horses always look good with a green background. Keep the
backgrounds as simple as possible so it doesn't distract from
the horse.
